Pricing Policy
Hope I Get (HIG) works hard to negotiate competitive prices on all of its products so that we can offer our customers the best value.
Why do prices on your site change?
Prices on our site are subject to change for three reasons. First, HIG often runs promotions, offering our customers further discounts on our already competitive prices. Second, vendors sometimes update the prices of the products they sell through our site by either raising the base price or by offering "sales" (see below). Finally, prices on our site are calculated based on the exchange rate of the US Dollar to New Israeli Shekel: Because the exchange rate is not completely constant, you might witness minor fluctuations in our prices.
Why are prices on some goods higher than I am used to overseas?
Many of our products are imported from other countries to provide our customers the quality brands they recognize from living abroad. For these items, customs taxes and tariffs might render some products more expensive than they would be overseas. Other quality brands that are manufactured in Israel will not experience the same price pressure as imported goods.
In addition, all of the prices on our site include taxes. Israeli authorities collect a 15.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) on all products sold in Israel. HIG factors this tax into the original price appearing on our site so that customers can know exactly how much an item will cost without hidden costs at the end of the process. Prices on some products might therefore appear a bit higher than you are accustomed to but the sum total after taxes is likely to be the same.
Sales and Promotions
HIG vendors often offer promotions on some or all of their products appearing on our site. When this happens, we note the sale price under the original price. "On sale" items are also sometimes featured in our "featured items" spot.
Please note: Because sale prices are determined by our vendors, we cannot ensure that products which were "on sale" when you created your registry will remain "on sale" up until the time the products are purchased. Prices on our site are automatically updated when sales and promotions expire so if you registered for an "on sale" product, spread the word fast to avoid missing a bargain.
Sometimes, a product is purchased when an item is on sale but delivered only after the sale has ended. This often happens when a product is purchased from a registry where the recipient has requested "Delayed Shipping" (See Shipping Policy for more information on this option).
Inventory Policy
The products displayed on our portal are pre-selected by our staff from the finest of Israeli merchants. When selecting products, we take into account your tastes and needs by choosing goods that are well-stocked by our vendors on a consistent basis. To ensure that you are not inconvenienced by any out-of-stock merchandise, we are in constant contact with our vendors and update our site regularly by marking as "out-of-stock" products that are temporarily unavailable. If a product is permanently unavailable, it will be removed from the site.
What happens if a product is out of stock?
While the chances that a given product will be out of stock is relatively rare, it does happen and is more common in the case of registries when the products are purchased months in advance. If an item that was purchased but not shipped to the recipient becomes unavailable, the recipient will be informed and given the option of choosing an item of equal value or receiving site credit. If an item was added to a registry and not yet purchased, the item will be automatically removed from the registry when it becomes unavailable.
How many of each item do you keep in stock?
The goods on our site are delivered directly from the vendor to your home and we do not keep inventory of stock.
